Welcome to: In the Wild

We are a small, nurturing alternative provision born from lived experience, and a firm belief that education should be built around the child.

Our journey began as parents, educators, and advocates who saw many children and families who were struggling. We have lived experience of navigating the SEND system. Therefore, we are passionate about empowering children and families to gain the support that truly meets a child or young persons needs.

Our provision is built on connection, compassion, creativity and democracy. We prioritise emotional wellbeing, individuality, and a sense of belonging so children can flourish with a new found confidence.

Many of the children we work with are neurodivergent, have experienced trauma, or simply need a more flexible and responsive learning environment.

Here, children are free to be themselves. We take the time to listen, to adapt, and to nurture curiosity rather than compliance. Whether it’s through outdoor learning, project-based exploration, or a quiet space to self-regulate—we endeavour to offer an approach where every voice matters.

We endeavour to be a place where young people can be truly heard, accepted and understood.
